SPACES

At Cyanogen, one of my primary projects was creating a new launcher experience named Spaces. The concept behind this experience was to allow apps to surface their content at a higher level and target the user with content relevant to their interests. Being able to feature content on the lockscreen and in the launcher can help pull users into the app’s full featured experience and enrich the user's time spent with their phone. To the left is an early prototype coded in framer that was used to test user’s reaction to the new OS paradigm.

These represent a selection of the UX studies done while working on Spaces.

These prototypes demonstrate the final UI design for Spaces. The first prototype was an interactive prototype created in Framer to demonstrate connecting the suggested content feeds for a brand new user. The second and third prototypes are After Effect studies in animation nuances.

STORE PROTOTYPE

This is a prototype of a minimal store experience that was created in Java as a native android app.

LOCKSCREEN GAMES

One of the new features designed for Android at Cynanogen was a live lockscreen that allowed users to choose new experiences to feature on their lockscreen. These two games were created in the Pixi.js javascript game engine to be examples of what could be accomplished by third party developers.

You can try these games at these two links:

CYANOGEN BYTES

I created a video series for Cyanogen called Cyanogen Bytes. Each video features a brief overview of an interesting feature.
